Mor-easter
That's what they're calling it, the 10-20 inches of snow we're supposed to get today into tomorrow. Thankfully, we're home from work again today, and if we really do get all that snow, probably tomorrow. We've shoveled so much in the last 3 days that our shovel broke. We've been looking for a new one, but one is not to be had in the WDC area these days. Fortunately, we have great neighbors. Stay tuned for pictures of Blizzard 2010 later today.

Out and About
Snowmageddon
An update from snowy VA - it's still snowing. Another band of "heavy snow" is supposed to roll in this afternoon, and the storm should move out around 10 PM tonight, not before we get 5-9 more inches, of course. The total accumulation in Reston at 10:30 AM - 21 INCHES! Here are some pics of us enjoying the weather (mostly from inside the house).

Snow-pocalypse
That's what they're calling it. We actually heard the phrase "thunder snow" used to refer to some anticipated weather overnight. We thought we'd bring you updates as the snow moves in.
It all started Tuesday night this week. We got 2-3 inches of snow. Most of that was still on the ground when the snow moved in today.
The snow started around 11 AM this morning. Fortunately worked closed early, so all three of us made it home before the roads became unmanageable. Here's the first picture of the snow taken today around 2 PM.
Here we are again at 5 PM.
And again at 6:30 PM.
At 9 PM the news is reporting 7 inches of snow already accumulating in our area, and the "heavy snow" is not due to arrive until later tonight. Stay tuned tomorrow for an update from snowy VA.
