39 Weeks

Well, we've made it to 39 weeks! One more week, or so, to go. Apparently, he's not in a big hurry to get here, but my doctor said she won't let me go more than about a week past my due date. This means that in all likelihood, our little man will be here by 9 August. Let's hope so!!!

Ernestine at Home

Ernestine has made herself right at home at my parents' house. She has managed to select the nicest chair in the house to be her usual cuddle spot. She sits in the chair pretty much all day. It's all you can do to get her down from her perch to do anything, even to go outside.

Cankles

Well, I really can't complain about my pregnancy. I never really had any morning sickness. I haven't gained an excessive amount of weight. And I haven't really had much swelling. So I decided to document the relatively rare occasion that I get cankles. For those wondering, a cankle is swelling of the ankle and foot such that the ankle becomes indistinguishable from the calf. Here's a tribute to my occasional cankles.

The Shower

On July 13th some very dear family friends hosted Baby D's last shower. It was lovely! We enjoyed delicious food and wonderful company. We are definitely well prepared with gear and clothes for Baby D's arrival. Here's a pic of three generations of my family - my sister and me, my mom, and my grandmother (Nana).
